“This not-so-young adult couldn't stop reading... It's a thriller, a mystery, a history, and even a promise of more to come in a sequel (or prequel.) Yes, there's blood..--it's a Jack the Ripper novel after all. But there's ever so much more, as one of the characters might say. Victorian England lives and breathes on every page ...layering of details. And it isn't only the scene-settings and fast-paced plot that ring true. The author makes us feel the stifling weight of Victorian women's clothes, the stench and claustrophobia of traveling on London's Underground Railway, the time traveler's relief at returning to 21st century comforts like flush toilets and hot showers. I was sorry to reach the last page. I highly recommend Ripped. I loved it.”

The murders became more and more ghastly. The heart of one victim was missing. The police received a kidney in the mail. Scotland Yard's finest were mocked in newspaper cartoons as blindfolded buffoons. Residents were terrorized, prisoners of their own homes once night fell.

No one knows for sure how many victims there were. But for the rest of 1888 and possibly as late as 1891, the Ripper continued to kill. Residents were warned to stay home, not to risk the streets at night. But the Ripper found girls alone and quenched his thirst for blood again and again.

Jack the Ripper was never caught. Who was he? Where did the murders take place?
